🦐 Krill Ecosystem Platform
Research & hypothesis-testing tool

Modeling the Antarctic krill ecosystem

An integrated platform for modeling Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) across three interoperable models: where krill are distributed, how much can be sustainably harvested, and how the stock moves and changes through time. Built on CCAMLR science, the published length–weight relationship, and the GRYM stock-assessment framework.

This is a research and hypothesis-testing tool — not a management decision tool.

The three modules

Each module runs on its own and feeds the next: Module 1 builds a krill field and hands its biomass and length frequency to Module 2; the same field can be stepped through time by Module 3.
